I would like to acknowledge the work that senior Australians have done and continue to do in our communities – whether that be through years of paid work, volunteering or helping to shape our nation.

Many older Australians are unsure of the supports that are available to them, so I wanted to provide the information in one spot – I hope this Seniors Guide is of use to you and your family and friends.

In this Guide you will find a range of useful information about services, general safety tips and ways to keep hold of more of your money, as well as the latest pension payment rates.

The Australian Government understands a lot of Australians are doing it tough. The Government has committed to helping older Australians by increasing the number of people eligible to access to the Commonwealth Seniors Health Card, delivering cheaper medicines, and topping up the Work Bonus Income Bank.

Thank you for all you have done over the years, and you can be sure that I will continue to work with my colleagues to champion the rights of older Australians and ensure older Australians are treated with the respect they deserve.
