A re-elected Albanese Labor Government will contribute $103,000 towards upgrading the Goulburn and Queanbeyan Multicultural Centres.

This election commitment will go towards upgrading the kitchenette at the Goulburn Multicultural Centre into a proper kitchen, enabling the centre to expand its catering options and cooking classes.

The project will also help fund the fit out of the new Queanbeyan Multicultural Centre, after it recently moved locations to cater for its expanded services.

Both multicultural centres are central meeting spaces for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) community members and this funding will enable their facilities to keep up with growing demand.

As the only multicultural centres in their respective local government areas, the Goulburn and Queanbeyan Multicultural Centres play a vital role in supporting and connecting our multicultural communities.

Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.

Quotes attributable to Member for Eden-Monaro, Kristy McBain:
