The Wandella community is now benefitting from their newly rebuilt hall, made possible by three levels of government working together to rebuild this much-loved and used community asset.
The Wandella Hall was destroyed in the Black Summer Bushfires and the community was heavily involved in co-designing the new hall.
The project was made possible with $1.29 million from the Australian and NSW Governments Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund, funded under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
The hall has been designed as a flexible, multipurpose venue that is environmentally sustainable, accessible for all members of the community, and built to withstand future natural disasters.
With low ongoing operational and maintenance costs, the new hall is set to serve the community for years to come.
