Eden-Monaro is home to hundreds of volunteer groups and organisations that make an invaluable contribution to our community.

This National Volunteer Week (18-24 May) Member for Eden-Monaro, Kristy McBain MP, wants to recognise the volunteers in our community by providing certificates of appreciation, and through helping to share their volunteer stories.

  • Name and contact details of organisation
  • Name of volunteer
  • Reason(s) for nominating the volunteer (up to 200 words).
  • Address for certificate to be sent to
  • A photo with permission to use on social media.

If you are a volunteer and would like to share a story about your own volunteering experience, or how volunteering has helped you, please email [email protected] to share your story.

The National Volunteer Week theme for 2026 is ‘Your Year to Volunteer’ and there are many wonderful opportunities in our community to get involved, from emergency services to local environment groups.
