The development of the Merimbula Skate Park is one step closer, with the concept plan now developed.
The project is being delivered thanks to a $500,000 election commitment funded under the Investing in Our Communities Program and will make a real difference for Merimbula families.
Under this program, the Australian Government is delivering community and sporting infrastructure, open space improvements and other community priorities nationwide intended to assist communities to build their strengths and improve liveability.
The project will include the construction of a new skatepark, as well as:
· preliminary earthworks for the new skatepark facility
· installation of the new skatepark facility with custom skate rails and other features
· connecting pathways around the new facility.
The project is estimated to support seven jobs during the project construction and is expected to be complete by April 2026.
For more information on the program visit the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts website.
