Four students from Eden-Monaro have been selected to take part in the Curious Minds summer camp. Curious Minds supports more girls in Years 9 and 10 to ignite their interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Leila Freeman and Heidi Lindsay from Karabar High School, Arabella Andrews from Monaro High School and Clara Stefanetto from Snowy Mountains Grammar School will join like-minded peers from across Australia in the transformative program that blends hands-on learning, mentorship, and exploration of cutting-edge STEM fields.
Curious Minds provides a unique opportunity for girls to explore and develop their interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The program also provides participants with mentoring and support from female STEM experts and coaches.
The six-month program kicked off in December with summer camps held at the Australian National University from 1-6 December and the University of Adelaide from 8-13 December.
Places are prioritised for students from regional and remote locations, those from low socio-economic backgrounds, and First Nations people.
More information about Curious Minds can be found at www.curiousminds.edu.au.
