Community organisations across Eden-Monaro are set to benefit from the Albanese Government's $9.85 million 2025-26 Volunteer Grants round, helping support the volunteers who strengthen local communities every day.
Organisations in Goulburn are among more than 4,500 community groups across Australia to receive Volunteer Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 to support their volunteers.
Among the recipients are:
- Bradfordville P & C Association
- Bungonia Rural Fire Brigade
- Country Women's Association of NSW
- Goulburn Cycle Club Inc
- Goulburn District Hockey Association
- Goulburn Meals on Wheels Service Inc
- Marulan Football Club
- Table Tennis Goulburn Inc.
- Riding for the Disabled Association (NSW) Goulburn Centre
The grants will assist these volunteer organisations to continue their important work in the community.
Grants can be used for practical expenses such as IT and communication equipment, volunteer training and screening checks, accessibility upgrades, insurance, and transport costs.
By backing the organisations that rely on volunteers, we are helping more people participate in their communities, and ensuring volunteers can continue making a difference where it is needed most.
This year's round included expanded eligibility settings, enabling more community organisations to better support volunteers from a diverse range of backgrounds and life experiences.
Recognising the importance of our nation’s volunteers, the Australian Government has invested over $91 million into strengthening the volunteer sector to ensure it can continue to thrive.
